Denca’s ATEX documentation impresses . . .

Atex SymbolDenca recently carried out an instrument & electrical installation project for a national Oil supply company.

The nature of the fuels involved meant the area of the project was classified by the customer as hazardous and given a Zones 1 ATEX classification.

Zone 1 ATEX classification requires us to produceĀ  appropriate supporting documentation for the project; something we have done many times before as it ensures the post installation inspections are managed successfully.

The design team produced the inspection packs which included: –

  • System Single Line Diagrams
  • Atex Material Certificates
  • Descriptive System Documents (DSD)
  • Detailed Exd inspection schedules
  • Detailed Exia inspection schedules
  • Functional Schematic Diagrams

Denca’s compex-trained technicians carried out the inspections and the full documentation set was handed over on completion of our works.

As the title of this piece suggests the customer was genuinely impressed with the work and has since recommended us to an associate company.

We are really pleased when new business comes from customer
recommendations and we are equally happy that our ATEX
competence is recognised.
Alan Brannan - MD, Denca Controls

The referral has meant we are now in the midst of a sizeable contract for another petrochemical company on Humberside who seems equally pleased with our competence.
