Denca bowling night returns

For the first time since 2019, Friday 1st July saw the welcomed return of the (infamous!) Denca Bowling Night.

Following 3 years Covid induced absence, it was a welcome return for this highlight of the Denca social calendar. A good number of the team gathered at the local bowling alley for some hotly contested bowling, and refreshments. The evening was a great success all around.

Matt Jones recently joined the Denca Software team and is one of our newest recruits. He stole the show this year with an impressive total of 320 points over two games. His performance was recognised with the award of the Denca Bowling Shield which he’ll keep until next year. His score also sets the bar high for next year.

The runner-up prize for the most strikes across the evening went to our resident sharpshooter Rob Bretherton. Both winners received a £25 Amazon voucher.

The unofficial star of the evening  was our event organiser and face of Denca, Gill Wilbourne, for scoring the lowest number of points over two games. For this impressive feat she was awarded the booby prize; a box of Malteser Truffles.

Thank you to Gill for organising and making this time honoured tradition yet another success. Arranging a night like this is no easy task and we appreciate the effort she puts in every year to make this possible.

Thanks to everyone for participating. We hope to see you all again next year for more of the same.
