As we discuss in this post, safety is at the heart of industrial control installation projects carried out by Denca Controls. However, this focus on safety only tells part of the story.
Important aspects of Denca’s work are the dedicated installation projects both large and small for a wide portfolio of clients. We work across a broad range of sectors including:
- Automotive
- Chemicals
- Food and Beverages
- Chemical
- Pharmaceutical
- Utilities sectors
We carry out installations as part of a design package, or to the client’s own design, and sometimes to an approved 3rd party design. Denca works closely with customer in-house and other approved contractors such as mechanical engineering contractors.
Denca carries out all installation work, inspection and testing to BS7671 IET regulations and issues NICEIC certification on completion.
Although installation is a core service offering, Denca’s in-house capabilities are significantly wider. The joined-up approach we can offer delivers real benefits where a customer is looking for a turn-key solution.
With experience over more than 20 years, Denca operates across 5 distinct disciplines:
- Electrical & Control System Design
- Software Development
- Panel Manufacturing
- Installation
- Maintenance, Calibration and Support
This breadth of expertise means that Denca can offer unrivalled flexibility and experience in offering design, install and commission complete, turn-key industrial control projects. We deliver quality work covering both small jobs and significant projects sometimes in excess of £1 million. Typical installation work includes LV Power (Mains Supplies, Motors and power distribution) Control, Instrumentation, Data and fibre projects.
At the heart of the business is our team of over 80 staff, operating across our 5 disciplines.
The Denca installation team includes all levels from Project Managers, Electrical Engineers, Supervisors and Instrument Technicians as well as Apprentices enrolled on Denca’s in-house training programme. All Denca staff working on site carry Safety Passports or equivalent. The company itself has OHSAS 18001, Safe Contractor and NICEIC accreditations.
Our care and attention to detail also include Quality and Environmental consideration for which Denca holds ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 together with proven, reliable company policies and procedures.
Denca has extensive experience of delivering ATEX standard installation works in Hazardous areas. The majority of our electricians are Compex Ex01 – Ex04 trained as are all our Instrument Technicians. We can also undertake Initial / Periodic inspections.
Furthermore, we are increasingly asked to carry out installation projects to CDM regulations as Principle Contractor. Contact us for more details.
Benefits to Installation Projects
At the centre of our approach, and the delivery of responsive, imaginative project solutions to our clients is our focus on the job in hand.
Where the project/job is the installation of systems and equipment designed and built by others, our ability to tap into our wider experience can be immensely valuable to ensure we complete projects as efficiently as possible.
We regularly avoid problems that can arise when an installation team has less experience of system design and manufacturing processes.
While customers sometimes call on us for turnkey, end-to-end projects using all 5 Denca disciplines, we regularly handle projects which require only one or two specific services. We are quite happy for customers to simply cherry pick the service or skill they need.
Consistent Installation Process
We develop and deliver innovative solutions reliably and consistently. Therefore, we ensure that we complete installation projects on time and on budget with minimal disruption.
