Software Development is becoming increasingly significant in many of our projects. Consequently, we must ensure our graduate software engineers have access to high-quality training facilities. To this end, we’ve recently completed some new development to Denca’s Widnes HQ. The work has involved transforming what was once the storage room of outdated legacy components. In its place we now have a modern and fully functional software training suite for our graduate software engineers.
Denca is proud of our vibrant software graduate program. Over more than a decade, the program has nurtured the next generation of Denca software engineers. This program delivers a comprehensive curriculum of resources and exercises focussing on the latest generation of predominantly Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs.
The new facility offers a safe environment in which our graduates are able to explore the features available in these state-of-the-art machines. Their knowledge and experience grow as they complete each section or module of their training program.
In addition to the graduate training, the new suite has created a proving platform for our engineers. They can run and test customers’ software solutions, without having to set up a physical product on their desk. The engineer can remotely connect to the appropriate processor on the training system and launch code on the relevant machine. This improves efficiency and allows debugging prior to any formal customer tests. The advantages of using a fully equipped test rig often mean time-saving and ultimately, faster deployment on our customers’ sites.
