We are seeking a skilled Instrument Technician to join our growing service department to perform instrument calibrations, produce calibration certificates on our bespoke database, commission company projects liaising with the engineering and software departments, complete ATEX inspections and documentation (training provided).

Key Responsibilities

• Calibrate instrumentation and control systems on customer sites which include food and beverage, pharmaceutical and petro chemical sites.
• Calibrations of process control instruments such as pressure, temperature level, conductivity and flow transmitters.
• Complete and maintain accurate calibration certificates and reports on our bespoke calibration database.
• Complete commissioning on company project work which includes cold & hot loop checking. Work collaboratively with engineers, electricians and software departments.
• Carry our ATEX inspections and complete documentations. (Training provided).
• Ensure all work is carried out according to safety procedures and regulatory standards.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience working as an Instrument Technician in an industrial environment.
• Ability to read design drawings which include EPLAN, control loops and liaise with software department on PLC investigations.
• EX 01-04 Gas and Vapour and EX 05-06 combustible dust preferable but not essential as training can be provided.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with calibration test equipment from Beamex MC6, pressure calibrators and temperature hot blocks.
• Familiarity with safety standards and permit-to-work systems.

Salary: £42,000.00-£50,000.00 per year depending on experience
